Cross Creek Park is very different from Mingo Creek even though they are both run by Washington County. Although Cross Creek is a relatively large park, there is only one trail and one playground. The main attraction is the lake, which is large enough for motorboating and fishing. Swimming is not allowed, but the lake is perfect for boating and has many places to explore. Canoes and kayaks are available to rent off-site for your use at the lake. Also, in the winter, ice skating is allowed. Just make sure that the ice is thick enough, and remember that ice is often thinner in the center of the lake.
